Your responsibilities

As a Mechanical Technician Metro Overhaul, you work on the complete renewal of self-driving metro trains from Copenhagen. The metros are completely stripped and rebuilt so that they can safely, reliably, and comfortably transport passengers again for years to come.

You work on the precise mechatronic systems of the metro doors and interior. This includes:

Dismantling and overhauling automatic doors
Adjusting and testing door systems
Replacing sensors and actuators
Removing and installing seats and floors
Working with specialized interior panels

You will work in day shifts in a modern workshop in Rotterdam, together with a dedicated team of technicians from various technical backgrounds.

Your work environment

You will work for the market leader in the development and maintenance of trains, trams, and metros. At this location in Rotterdam, the focus is specifically on the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives and now also metros.

Your skills

MBO level 3 or 4 diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical
Engineering, Automotive Technology or similar
Experience with (precision) mechanical assembly
VCA-VOL and forklift certificate (or willingness to obtain these)
Aerial work platform certificate is a plus
Basic knowledge of English (you work in an international team)
