Your responsibilities

As an Aircraft Component Technician, you'll be responsible for repairing and overhauling various aircraft components in a state-of-the-art workshop at Schiphol Airport. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Testing and inspecting hydraulic and pneumatic components upon arrival
  • Operating complex test benches to analyze problems
  • Performing repairs on a wide range of components, including engines, landing gear, doors, and flap actuators
  • Conducting post-repair tests to ensure component functionality
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all work performed, in English

You'll work in a team of 14 motivated technicians, supervised by two team leaders. Several colleagues are certified as 'certifying staff', a position you can work towards as you develop your skills and knowledge in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations.

Your skills

  • MBO3/4 diploma in aviation technology, mechanical engineering, automotive, or a related field
  • Relevant work experience in repair and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as in a team
  • Good administrative skills and proficiency in English
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus
