Your responsibilities

As a Mechatronics Supervisor in Rotterdam, you will lead an innovative project. You will manage and work alongside a team of 8 technicians in building and delivering self-driving metros. A large batch of used metros will be completely stripped down in this workshop, only to be rebuilt from the ground up. This is not only technically fascinating but also sustainable. Your tasks include:

Leading 4 mechatronics and 3 mechanical technicians
Coordinating tasks, from floor disassembly to cable installation
Participating in the assembly of self-driving metros
Ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
Contributing technical solutions

You will work in a workshop, where you and your team are responsible for one metro at a time. Working hours are from 07:00 to 16:00. This project offers plenty of room for initiative and leadership since the technology is new and not everything has a set plan.

Your work environment

You will work for the market leader in the development and maintenance of trains, trams, and metros. At this location in Rotterdam, the focus is specifically on the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives and soon also metros.

Your skills

Minimum MBO 4 education in electrical engineering or mechatronics
Experience in a similar leadership role
Ability to quickly adapt and solve problems
Plus: VCA-VOL certificate, forklift license, and aerial work platform certificate (or willing to obtain these)
