Your responsibilities

As an Electrical Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team working on self-driving metros in a fully equipped workshop in Rotterdam. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Stripping and rebuilding a large batch of used metros;
  • Installing and maintaining electrical systems, including switchboards, distribution boxes, and transformers;
  • Wiring and cabling of various components;
  • Installing panels and LED screens in self-driving metros;
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues;
  • Working closely with a team of 7 other technicians and a hands-on supervisor;
  • Following technical documentation and safety protocols.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on modern technology that will be used in major cities worldwide. The workday starts at 07:00 AM.

Your work environment

You will work at the market leader in the development and maintenance of trains, trams, and metros. At this location in Rotterdam, the focus is specifically on the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives, and soon also metros.

Your skills

  • Completed MBO level 3/4 education in electrical engineering or mechatronics;
  • Experience with machine wiring, working with switchboards/panels, and/or installing equipment;
  • VCA-VOL and forklift certificate (or willingness to obtain them);
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation;
  • Experience with finding and resolving electrical faults;
  • Familiarity with lift systems and working at heights.
