Your responsibilities

As a Metro Mechanic, you will be part of a team responsible for completely stripping and rebuildin self-driving metro's. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and your main tasks will include:

Working on various mechanical components such as doors, windows, interior panels, and lighting
Using a variety of tools including cordless drills, impact wrenches, and hydraulic spreaders
Reading and following technical documentation
Inspecting components independently

You'll work in a team of 8 technicians, led by a working supervisor, ensuring the complete refurbishment of the metros. The workday starts at 07:00 AM.

Your work environment

You will work at the market leader in the development and maintenance of trains, trams, and metros. At this location in Rotterdam, the focus is specifically on the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives, and soon also metros.

Your skills

Completed MBO education (level 3/4) in a mechanical field
Proficiency with tools such as crowbars, cordless drills, impact wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, glass carriers, and hydraulic spreaders
VCA-VOL and forklift certificate (or willingness to obtain them)
Ability to read and follow technical documentation
Experience with lifting and hoisting systems (aerial work platform) is a plus
