Mechanic Workshop

Your responsibilities

As a mechanic in this workshop, you will be involved in the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives. You will work in the workshop and be called upon when other mechanics encounter difficulties. Together with the team you are responsible for solving electrical and electronic malfunctions in various types of locomotives, including electrically powered locomotives and diesel locomotives.

You will ensure that everything runs smoothly and remains in top condition. The work is done in two shifts (06:00 - 14:30 and 14:30 - 22:30), which includes shift allowance of 14%.

Your work environment

You will be working for the market leader in the development and maintenance of trains, trams, and metros. At this location in Rotterdam, the focus is specifically on the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives and wagons.

Your skills

You will be a great addition to the team if you recognize yourself in the following points:

MBO 4/Secondary vocational education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering, or similar;
Work experience in troubleshooting and/or maintenance;
Knowledge of power electronics, transformers, and electric motors is a plus.
